Group of young people

HYPE Central is a three year pilot project, funded by Baulkham Hills Shire Council. HYPE Central is a space designed for young people to hang out with their friends in a safe and secure environment. The centre targets young people aged 12-24 years who live, work, study or play in the Baulkham Hills Shire. The Centre aims to be an early intervention model for the Shire's young people.

What's Happening @ Castle Hill Youth Centre

HYPE Central operates as a drop in centre three days per week. Drop in activities include:

Table Tennis
Pool Table
Soccer Tables
PS2 and XBOX
Internet Cafe
HYPE Cafe
TV lounge areas

HYPE Central runs other activities such as local band nights, workshops, movie nights and school holiday activities on a regular basis.

Local Band Nights

Local band nights are increasingly popular. They provide a platform for young talent throughout the Hills District. The band nights are run on every 2nd Friday or Saturday night throughout the year. HYPE Central provides a safe, alcohol and drug free event for the youth of the Hills District with strong security presence amongst the crowd.

The band nights are fun and exciting event for everybody. Canteen facilities are provided at the centre and this includes regular pizza nights as well.
