Community Centres and Halls

There are many Council owned community centres, halls and other venues in the Shire that are available to hire for a variety of purposes including weddings and receptions, birthday parties, exhibitions, business functions, dramas and musicals, exhibitions, club and group meetings, dances, conferences and cultural and religious events.

Hire charges depend upon the venue selected however, with the variety of venues available, most budgets can be accommodated.

Decorations are not supplied by Council.

New location for booking halls and community centres

Council has been working to improve its community facilities operations with increased access for the community to make bookings for that special event or activity. From Monday 21 April 2008, we have a new location for all activities relating to halls and community centres.

You can now enquire, make a booking or pick up keys from Council’s Community Facilities Customer Services Officers located on Level 1, Castle Grand Community Centre, Corner of Pennant and Castle Streets, Castle Hill – on the level below the Castle Hill Library.

We can now offer extended hours – with staff available to assist you up until 6pm, five days per week. Parking is available on site underneath the building. Phone 9843 0127 or 9843 0111 for more information.

The Hills Centre

The Hills Centre is the largest venue owned by Baulkham Hills Shire Council and is managed by The Pegasus Group. Go to http://www.hillscentre.com.au/ for more information about the Centre, what's on and for bookings, or phone (02) 9899 2488. 
 
Some venues are managed by Council, others privately and some by volunteer community committees. To book or enquire about a particular venue, phone the contact number provided for that venue or click the 'Enquire or Book' button where available.
