Health and Safety Standards

Local Government has traditionally been concerned with issues relating to public health and maintaining sanitary and healthy conditions in the Shire.

In the area of Public Health, Council controls and regulates activities and premises where there is the potential for disease transmission, monitors and controls standards for businesses and organisations to adhere to and has the authority to require unhealthy or unsafe conditions on private property to be rectified.
