'Hills 2026 Looking Towards the Future' is Baulkham Hills Shire's Community Strategic Direction. It has been developed in response to the 'Help Shape Your Future Hills' process conducted over the past 18 months to encourage community participation and input into establishing key directions for the future of our Shire. How Council will contribute to Hills 2026?
Council will use 'Hills 2026 Looking Towards the Future' to guide it's activities and resources by integrating the community outcomes into it's management planning framework. This will ensure Council is focused on delivering services and facilities that will enhance and sustain this community's future.
The Hills 2026 Planning Framework consists of five key themes that form the 'picture of the future' or vision for our Shire towards 2026. Council has developed key for each of these themes that will guide the actions and projects delivered by Council. Towards Hills 2026 Council will continually review and check the Hills 2026 Community Strategic Direction through it's Community Engagement Process. This process will actively involve the community in discussion and opportunities to comment on the direction and how as a community we can make sure we stay on track.
