Friends
Friends of the Hills Libraries Inc.
The Friends of the Hills Library Inc is a community group supported by more than 280 members across the Shire and has raised more than $85,000 for the Library, since the Friends began in 1994.
The Friends meet at Castle Hill Library, please check Library Events for exact details. Refreshments are provided. A variety of fund raising events are held throughout the year to raise money for the Baulkham Hills Shire Library Service.
Joining and Benefits
It is easy to join the Friends of the Hills Library Inc. Simply visit one of our five library branches and complete a membership form.
Membership is $5 per annum and entitles you to:
- Automatic membership to Baulkham Hills Shire Library Service
- One free reservation per month (saving of $1.20 per month)
- Volunteer activities at the library
- A discount at the following local businesses
- House of Fraser (Castle Towers)
- Chapters Cafe (Castle Hill Library)

Friends Events
The Friends of the Hills Library organise regular events including:
- An Annual Booksale
- The Castle Hill Library Book Club which meets on the first Thursday of the month at 10.30am at Castle Hill Library. Please see Library Events for exact dates
