The Orange Blossom Festival began in 1969 as a humble garden and footpath competition and has since grown to be one of Australia’s largest community-owned and run festivals. In 2008 the Festival will be celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The Festival showcases Baulkham Hills Shire’s vibrancy, creativity and community spirit. This year’s Festival will include events that cater for all ages and interests such as music, arts, food fairs, seminars, exhibitions, sporting and animal events, open days, tours, seniors and youth activities, fairs and fireworks.

The Orange Blossom Festival attracts over 50,000 people each year during the Festival’s 18 days and brings together local community-based events under one banner. If your community group or organisation is interested in holding an event during the Orange Blossom Festival, please contact the Civic Events section on 9843 0532 or email orangeblossom@bhsc.nsw.gov.au

Sponsorship

The annual Orange Blossom Festival is a unique and exciting marketing opportunity for your organisation to raise its profile in one of Sydney’s fastest growing local government areas. In addition to publicity opportunities from signage, news coverage and community attendance at events you sponsor, your involvement allows you to link your company’s image with one of the longest running and largest community run festivals in Australia.

Children with PippaSponsorship of the festival will help create awareness, increase loyalty and reinforce a positive image of your company among potential customers in both the Hills community and visitors to the Festival from greater Sydney.

The Orange Blossom Festival is entirely community focused, making it a sponsorship opportunity that is quite rare. McDonalds Australia, Sydney Morning Herald, Lend Lease, Commonwealth Bank, Woolworths, Gloria Jeans Coffee, Sun Herald, MIRVAC,  Living Choice Australia, Norwest Business Park, IAMS and HomeWorldare just some of Australia’s largest companies which have recognised this opportunity in the past and supported this amazing community event.

Castle Towers has been a Platinum Sponsor of the festival for many years and have returned again in 2008. Castle Towers provides not only financial support, but also valuable promotional opportunities for both the community events taking place during the festival period, and the overall festival itself.

Castle Towers, Kellyville Pets, Castle Hill RSL Club, Stockland Baulkham Hills, The Hills Shire Times, Hills Homemaker Centre, Hills News, Hillside Hotel, Amory Catering and The Mean Fiddler are just some of the other local businesses providing their ongoing support to this festival.

Volunteers

The Orange Blossom Festival is one of the largest festivals in Australia run by the community, for the community. The Baulkham Hills Shire community has an incredible volunteering spirit and a large volunteer network.

It takes thousands of these local volunteers, from various groups, clubs and organisations all over the Shire, working together to make this Festival happen each year.

So who are they?

Volunteers from throughout the community play a major role in the growth of the Festival by including their events within the Festival calendar. This ensures there is a diverse range of events for people to enjoy and provides the community groups with a forum for fundraising.

These groups include service clubs, community organisations, schools, sporting clubs and special interest groups. Many dedicated people are willing to give up many hours of their own time to make these events a success. Some just volunteer on the day, but most are involved from the beginning and some planning commences at least 12 months in advance.

Would you like to get involved?

If you are interested in becoming a Festival volunteer, simply email orangeblossom@bhsc.nsw.gov.au with your details or click on the following link to register your details on the Volunteer Expression of Interest Form.
